Made for

Guitarists

Voice on one fader. Guitar on the other. Or a track with the singer gone.

If you sing and play, record both. Take One puts the voice on one stem and the guitar — with anything else that is not the voice — on the other. If you are learning a song, import it and lower the vocal so the instrumental is the bed you play over.

What this is

Take One does not isolate the guitar from the rest of the band. A full arrangement stays together in the instrumental stem. Separation is vocal and instrumental only.

What you can do

  • A voice-and-guitar take. Separate them, then balance the vocal against the guitar.
  • A vocal-free track. Mute the singer and keep the band, then export and play.
  • A video of the performance. Captions and a master are part of Studio.

A session

  1. Record yourself singing and playing, or import a song.
  2. Run separation. Vocal and instrumental land on two faders.
  3. For a cover you sang, raise the vocal until it sits on the guitar. To play over a song, lower the vocal instead.
  4. Export the video, or open Studio for WAV stems and mastering.
